LATALAdesign is a Krakow-based art and design studio established by Dagmara Latala and Jacek Latala in 2009.
Together, their experience included working for Arup, Universaldesignstudio and other top design practices in London, Dubai and Singapore.
The studio was set-up with the mission to develop a new design language by undertaking experimental, often ephemeral works. As a playgroud for exploration they choose vibrant and transforming design, cultural and social scene in Poland. The combination of diverse skills within group inspires new fields of exploration. Working from the fringes of art, design, stage design and architecture, they are developing projects which transcends the limits of commercial activity.
LATALA is interested in creating objects and forms which can adapt to new functions depending on the processes and phenomena occurring within a certain space.
The designers’ work aims also to transform the tissue of the city and public space.
The studio cooperates with cultural institutions as well as independent galleries and manufacturers.
